About Perimeno
Most women can name the end of this transition — twelve months without a period. Almost nobody can name the beginning. That gap is where Perimeno started: not with a gap in the science, but with a gap in what women are actually told.
What we make
Perimeno is two things that support each other. There is an iPhone app for tracking — a calm daily check-in that takes about a minute, a clinically grounded assessment of where you are in the transition, and weekly patterns drawn from what you record and, if you choose to connect it, from Apple Health.
And there is this library: an evidence-based set of articles covering your body, your mind, your sleep, the evidence behind treatment options, and who you are through all of it. It is free, there are no ads, and we do not sell your data.
How we think about the transition
Three convictions shape everything here.
Perimenopause has a shape, and you deserve to see it. Symptoms that feel random usually are not. Most of what women describe as "going mad" is a recognisable physiological pattern that simply was never explained to them.
Patterns, not diagnoses. The app shows you what you recorded and how it moves together — not a prediction, not a verdict. The point is to arrive at your appointment with real observations instead of a vague sense that something is off.
No fear, no fads. This is a field crowded with supplements, certainty and alarm. We would rather tell you the evidence is mixed than tell you something clean and wrong.
How the articles are made
Every article is built from current clinical guidance — NICE, the NHS, The Menopause Society, ACOG, WHO, ESHRE — and the research behind it. Articles are drafted with AI assistance and are not published until a human has checked them against those sources. Where a named clinician has reviewed an article, you will see their name and credentials in the byline.
The full detail, including how we handle corrections and how often we re-check what we have published, is in our editorial policy.
What we are not
Perimeno is educational. It does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice, and it is not a substitute for a clinician who knows your history. If something here helps you ask a better question at your next appointment, it has done its job.
